Care for your eyes

With our new Eye Care feature, we allow you to set a reminder to relax your eyes every once in a while during working in front of a screen.

Eye Care option

Inspired by the 20-20-20 rule, every 20 minutes you are reminded to look at an object which is 20 feet (6 meters) away from you for 20 seconds.

What is eye strain?

Eye strain is mostly caused by working several hours at a time focusing on computer screens which overexerts the eye. When staring at a screen, people blink less frequently, only about one-third as often as they normally do. Blinking is very important as it moistens your eyes to prevent dryness and irritation. After working long hours looking at a screen, you may experience symptoms like headaches, tiredness, blurred vision, or burning and dry eyes.

Why use Eye Care?

It’s easy to get so caught up in your work that you forget to take breaks. You can actually be more productive if you’re well-rested and you don’t have tired eyes. Just like you need physical exercise, your health can also benefit from eye exercises. The 20-20-20 rule is a great way to give your eyes a break and a little exercise at the same time. You will be notified every 20 minutes to take a short break from your screen. And that’s all that’s to it!
